What to see in Međugorje
Međugorje (AFI: ['Mɛdʑu, ɡɔːrjɛ], pronounced /méyugorie /) is a town of the southwestern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the canton of Herzegovina-Neretva, located at 165 m s. n. m. and about 25 km southwest of Mostar and near the border with Croatia. It has a population of approximately 4,000 inhabitants, of the most part and a soft Mediterranean climate.
In this town, the Virgin Mary, under the invocation of the Queen of Peace, would have appeared daily since June 24, 1981 to six young Croats.
Medjugorje has two large hills, Mount Križevac and Monte Podbrdo, today called "Colina de las Apparitions", was the place of the first alleged Marian appearances.
